Hear my prayer [open!]

Claire sat in the church, alone.

Her eyes had been closed and her hands clasped together as she prayed silently to herself. All she wished for was to return home. To her mother, her father, her siblings.. her dog that's all she wanted. She had always been the bitter one in her family, the black sheep if thats what you wish to call it. She hardly went out and if she did it was to go prey in her church, why has God done this? Brought her into this video game reality.. after everything she did for God! She prayed to him every day, every morning, every meal, every night! Was this some punishment...? Has she done a sin that she didn't realize... All she wanted was a sign. Her hands gripped together tighter... please... please.. give me a sign!

Sawyer strolled into the cathedral, remembering the day all of the players met inside. At the time it was a place of arguing and confusion, but now it was silent. The wooden pews were completely empty except for a girl near the front. Her black hair was flicked in front of her face as she bowed down with clenched hands. He didn't know why he came here, in fact it seemed as if he walked in on accident. Sawyer opened his mouth only to feel as if the great sonoran desert resided inside his mouth. He let out a small cough, choking on air as he frantically opened his inventory to find water. The button clicked letting out a small bottle in which he clutched onto, pouring it by the gulp to his dry throat. Droplets of clear liquid trickled down his chin and he swiftly wiped them off with his sleeve. His dark eyes glanced at the praying-girl apologetically, "Sorry about that." He softly sputtered out, his throat slowly but surely reviving. "What are you doing in here? Everyone else is at the market or the pub."

Claire didn't notice anyone arrive since she was focused on her prayer. She didn't mind if anyone joined either, she enjoyed when someone shared her love for God. She felt as if she was the only one who believed in God during this whole situation. As she finished her prayer, Claire whipped a small tear away from her eyes before she noticed Sawyer. The cleric eyed him a little confused it seemed as if he was trying to say something but no words came out.

She only watched as he drank from the water bottle that appeared out of his inventory before saying anything. "Im aware.. " Claire answered simply as she wiped off her clothes. "Im praying to God, asking for his guidance."

Sawyer scrunched his nose and let out a small snort, he covered his mouth with his sleeve trying to cover up the smile that was growing on his face. Surely this girl was joking; God? In this condition? In general? If God were real then he wouldn't have put him through such distraught times, his family would get along, the world wouldn't have gone to shit, and they for sure wouldn't have found themselves in this condition. But, according to the almighty God's rule it was his way of forging a path. What a funny way of working things.

Sawyer locked his eyes with the serious-looking girl, "Forgive me, but are you serious?" His chuckles faded and instead he looked at the girl with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. There were endless things she could be doing right now, well so could he but that is besides the point. "What guidance would He be able to give to you?"

The cleric had sighed, she knew that Sawyer was most likely laughing at her. Most people would, if something terrible happens or something doesn't go the way someone wants it to they will blame God. However this wasn't the case for Claire, her faith to god was unimaginable she would always be loyal. Even when things go badly she knew that it was apart of his plan for her, god has a plan for everyone.

"I'm very serious." Claire had spoke her voice having an irritated edge. After her prayer to god Claire glanced towards Sawyer raising an eyebrow, "I need his guidance to get out of here." She replied simply dusting her clothes off as she stood up. "What brings you in here anyway? If you don't have faith in him."
