PostSubject: Tiny soul, large figure   Thu Apr 20, 2017 7:29 pm

"Chto sluchilos'?"

Rubbing his head, Tiny let out a soft moan and sat up. When he opened his eyes, what he saw was definitely not his farm. In front of him sat a fountain with what looked to be runes inscribed on it, and all around him were tightly packed buildings. Several lampposts stood around the little area, but the sky was already bright enough that they weren't on.

'Well, it definitely looks somewhat like in-town,' he thought to himself while looking around. But if it was his town... then why was everything so desolate and lonely, and where was everyone? Usually his hometown was constantly bustling with venders, farmers, townsfolk, but something about this place didn't feel right.

Then the panic hit him, though it wasn't about where he was. His hat!

Tensing up, Tiny practically slammed the palms of his hands onto the side of his head. It couldn't be gone, it just couldn't! Patting his hair, there was no calming sensation of the soft, wool-like surface that he always wore on his head, and his breathing became shallow. His hat... it was gone! Mamma would kill him!

Breathing unsteadily, he placed his large hands on the cold ground and heaved himself up, tears streaming down his cheeks. "Moya shlyapa, moya shlyapa," the larger boy mumbled to himself, his head hanging over his shoulders with his hands covering it as he stood in the middle of the empty town square with wobbly legs. For a boy his size, his voice was oddly meek and soft, which on top of being called Tiny, was another thing that took people off guard when they met him.

A new pair of boots shone on Shepard's feet. The blond had made a accidental habit of getting them muddy. And damn did mud stick to those boots. Instead of scrubbing the day away, Shepard opted to by a new pair--made out of more...stain resistant materials. With his new shiny boots on his feet, the blond strolled past where they had first began. The blond had taken Hano's advice to heart. While he did want to get though the game as fast as he could, Shepard would also take time to stop and smell the roses.

He couldn't get over how blue the sky was.

Hell, he knew it was artificial with the lines and all...Yet he found himself captivated none of the less. Had Shepard not heard a voice as he walked past--he would not have noticed Tiny. His head was tilted so far up that the ground was no longer visible, cloud watching as he walked. What made him pause about the voice was the emotion in it. It was rare when an NPC was sad, when they were, they usually had a quest open. All the more reason to look.

Glancing down, it was nearly impossible to miss the crying teen. Although, he looked large enough to almost be like one of the NPCs you can have follow you around and be your guide/sidekick. The fighter paused in the middle of the sidewalk, looking on solemnly. A NPC who had been walking a little bit behind him merely wove around him.

With a slight sigh, Shepard approached him with a hand on the newcomer's shoulder. "Hey there, are you okay?" The blond had half the mind to shove a fist into his own face. Of course he wasn't okay, the guy was crying! Forcing his frustration at himself away, Shepard leaned closer. "I'm Shepard, another player stuck here too." That was the reason why he was crying, right?

Having not heard the person walk up behind him, Tiny jumped when a voice suddenly rung in the still air. Giving a sniff and wiping the tears off of his flushed red cheek, he turned around to see a blond haired boy looking up at him. "Uh..." the taller boy started, flustered and forgetting why he'd even been balling in the first place. "My uh... m-my hat," he spoke softly and when a cool breeze ruffled his short, yet scraggly brunette hair, it hit him once more. "My hat!" he cried and plopped his face into the palms of his hands once more. It barely registered to him that he wasn't in Russia and the shock of that hadn't even started to settle in yet, for he was too focused on his missing hat, something he'd had for as long as he could remember.

Shepard couldn't help but tilt his head in response. It was not like he had a hard time understanding what Tiny was saying, the accent was familiar with his mother's parents--though they were not as heavy as this boy's was. Rather on the fact the boy was mourning the loss of his hat. Blinking, Shepard took the moment to look around the boy to see if he had dropped it, yet came up with nothing. He shook his head at Tiny, offering a hand to help him up. "I don't see it around you. But, were are near the market. We can look for one if you'd like." Shepard offered, noting that it was greatly bothering the boy. The sooner that he received a hat that comforted him, the sooner he could get used to the world around him. Poor guy, he seemed very sweet.

OOC: sorry for taking so long to post ;3;

IC: Sniffling and using his sleeve to wipe some tears from his flushed face, Tiny looked to the boy as he spoke, finding a sliver of strength to stop his crying for more than a few seconds. A new hat? While it was nice of this stranger to offer to take him to a market (where ever that was), the larger boy would never be able to replace his hat, especially not now.

"I-I don't want a new hat," the Russian boy mumbled, looking down to his feet, and that’s when he noticed that his clothes were different. Instead of wearing his usual baggy and ripped up farming wear, he had a black long sleeve shirt with some sort of vest over it, made out of a fabric that closely resembled fleece. His lower half had long pants on and comfortable boots. After a few seconds of observing himself, the question of where he was finally rose above his thoughts about losing it hat.

"Where am I?" he asked, looking around and finally taking in his surroundings. A fountain stood a few feet away from them and looking to the sky, it almost seemed to beautiful to be real. "And who are you?" the taller boy asked, turning his gaze back to the blond kid as a soft breeze ruffled his uncovered hair and sent a shiver up his spine. This definitely wasn’t Russia, even though the area looked a bit like in town, and Tiny didn't remember anything that happened right before he woke up, so where in the world was he?
